FAQs About All-Around Support

    • Peer support is provided by Certified Peer Counselors (CPCs) who have lived experience with recovery. Their role is to walk alongside you with encouragement, mentorship, and guidance. Therapy, on the other hand, is provided by licensed professionals who deliver clinical therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Both services complement each other and can be used together for stronger outcomes. 

    • No. We check your needs when you start treatment and throughout your care. You can also ask for support at any time.

    • Yes. These services are for people who are getting care through our opioid treatment program.

    • Peer support services are led by Certified Peer Counselors who combine personal recovery experience with professional training. They understand the challenges of substance use and provide compassionate, judgment-free support. 

    • Sessions may involve sharing experiences, discussing recovery strategies, setting goals, or connecting you with community resources such as housing or employment assistance. Sessions are always tailored to your needs. 

    • Yes. Peer support follows the same strict confidentiality standards as all clinic services, in compliance with HIPAA. 

    • No. Peer support services are available to all current We Care Daily Clinics members, whether or not you are receiving MOUD or counseling. 

    • Simply talk to your provider or counselor, and they can connect you with a Certified Peer Counselor. You can also view upcoming group sessions on our [Live Peer Support Calendar] and join directly.
